All Church Leaders are encouraged to attend the 2019 Servant Leadership Conference on Saturday, January 19 at 9:00 a.m. in the Life Center. Pastor Willie Bolden will be our guest facilitator.
The Baptism Class will meet on Sunday, January 20 in the Computer Room (Educational Building) at 9:00 a.m.
Installation of NMZ Officers will be held on Sunday, January 20 during 10:30 Service.
The Church Office and Day Care Center will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. However, funeral services for Sis. Audrey Gamble will be held here on Monday at 10:00 a.m.
The Youth Ministry will participate in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on Monday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. All participants are asked to wear the Youth Ministry t-shirt or a red top and jeans and meet at the church at 7:00 a.m. Transportation will be provided. Permission slips will be available in the Bridal Suite (Room #112) after 7:30 Service, in the Fellowship Hall (Room #109) after 10:30 Service, and Monday morning. Participants are asked to bring one bag of individually-wrapped candy.
Children and Youth (ages 4-18) who enjoy singing, praise dancing, miming, drilling, ushering, serving on the hospitality team, or who want to learn about these groups are encouraged to support our pastor, the newly-elected President of the Dallas Baptist Ministers’ Union, and represent NMZ in the Annual Youth for Christ Program. Church vans will leave NMZ and travel to Good Street Baptist Church every Saturday (through February 23) at 4:30 p.m.
The Youth Council will host a Youth Kick-Off Rally on Saturday, January 26, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at Bradfield Recreation Center (Youth Room), 1146 Castle Drive, Garland 75040.
Several sweaters, eye glasses, sun glasses, bibles, etc. have been left behind in the Sanctuary. If you have lost any of these items, please stop by the Bridal Suite after 7:30 Service and the Fellowship Hall after 10:30 Service on Sunday, January 27 to claim your belongings. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the homeless shelter.
Installation of the Baptist Ministers’ Union Officers will be held on Sunday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m. at New Mount Zion. Pastor Brown will be installed as President of the Union.
2018 Contribution Statements will be available upon request starting Monday, January 28.
The Annual Church Business Meeting will be held on Monday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
The Men of NMZ are collecting clothes, shoes, toiletries, and other items (for men) to support the brothers at the Union Gospel Mission Shelter. The Brotherhood will take and distribute the items at the shelter on Tuesday, January 29.
“A Woman of Wisdom” Book Study will begin in February. All Sisters planning to participate please sign-up in the Bridal Suite (Room #112) after 7:30 Service or in the Fellowship Hall (Room #109) after 10:30 Service.
The Outreach Ministry is looking for individuals to join the team. If interested, please sign-up after 7:30 Service in the Bridal Suite (Room #112) and after 10:30 Service in the Fellowship Hall (Room #109).
